Worth a close look, this bike is packed with features at a relatively low price.
This bike is excellent value for money. It has an aluminium frame to keep the weight low and to prevent rust. The front suspension is higher quality with an aluminium crown and quality bushes, which give more positive steering, and lighter weight.
A few added features to make it easier are the quick release front wheel in case you need to remove it for any reason, like transport or in the unfortunate case of a puncture. While on this subject the tyres are excellent. They have a smooth running tread that will handle either off or on road with ease and are quite puncture resistant. Seat adjustment can be done while out riding with the quick mechanism.
The Shimano gear system is easy to use. It has 21 gears, but the bike can be left in just one gear if preferred until her confidence improves. The Shimano gear levers are easy to use and made for smaller hands, that are not as strong as an adult. The 'V' brakes are excellent. Again little hand pressure is required, so the bike can be stopped quickly with small hands, and the levers can be adjusted to suit the length of her fingers.
Overall a great bike, bring her along for a test ride on a few bikes, this one will compare well.
