Giant Quick-E Electric Bike
Wow!
Have you ridden one of these puppies?
I know most e-bike users will buy them for practical reasons, such as getting to work without raising a sweat, or as a means to overcome a hilly route, or so a spouse can keep up with a stronger/fitter partner, or to maintain regular cycling at an advanced age, or to compensate for a loss of driving licence, or to do their bit for the environment, or any one of an endless list of possibilities.
Well, the good news is that the Giant Quick-E covers all these points with ease.
The even better news is that while accomplishing all of the listed menial tasks, it is a load of fun to ride.
As a long time cyclists, I never thought that I'd be extolling the virtues to anyone younger than my parents, but having been given the opportunity to ride a number of e-bikes, I must say that I can really see why they have become so popular.
The Quick-E does all the practical stuff without an issue, as you would expect from Giant, but to also put a smile on my face was an unexpected but welcome bonus.
The Giant Quick-E is powered by 250W Yamaha SyncDrive Sports motor, delivering, 80Nm torque.
The Quick-E also features
- Giant PedalPlus 4-sensor technology
- Giant RideControl information display
- Giant EnergyPak 400WH Rechargeable Li-ion battery
- ALUXX SL-grade aluminium frame
- Shimano Deore 2x10-speed drivetrain
- Shimano M315 hydraulic disc brakes
Well equipped, powered by Yamaha, easy to operate, easy to ride and loads of fun. The range varies according to conditions, and rider demands. A guide is on ECO 50-100kms, Normal 30-60kms and Sport 15-40kms, but unless you are climbing mountains, Sport would normally be unnecessary.
Call in and give one a try to see for yourself what all the fuss is about.
