Fitted with a powerful Yamaha motor with 5 torque settings, the 2018 Liv VALL-E is a wonderful alternative for those women who love their off-road cycling, but just find some of the hills (or keeping up with the hubby), just a bit too tough.
The bottom bracket mounted Yamaha electric motor delivers an incredible 80 Nm of Torque with 5 push button operated power assist settings.
- ECO = 100% of your effort
- BASIC = 175%
- ACTIVE = 250%
- SPORT = 300%
- POWER = 360%
Battery range - A guide is on ECO 50-100kms, Normal 30-60kms and Sport 15-40kms, but unless you really are climbing mountains, Sport would normally be unnecessary.
Powerful enough to get you to the summit of any climb, the Vall-E is destined to be the best cycling companion you have ever had. Supportive, helpful and always looking after your best interests, the VALL-E is also a bunch of fun to ride.
Also able to double up as a weekday commuter, you just might find yourself riding to work a bit more often than in the past. Riding in the city areas, it is likely that you will ride in one of the lower power settings, which will give a range in excess of 100kms. It is unlikely that you will need to charge the battery more than twice a week, giving a usable battery life of around 10 years. That makes for very economical fun.. sorry commuting.
Simply plug in and charge it as necessary, kit up, either in your work clobber or the weekend lycra, push the on button, turn the pedals and away you go, headed off to a happy place where the only restriction will be your imagination.
