As the premium model in a 7 bike range of flat bar road bikes, the Giant CoMax 1 a lightweight, comfortable bike, ideally suited to commuters or sport riders, who have no desire to sit in the hunched position of a road bike.

CoMax describes the construction of the frame which is an optimised blend of Performance Grade raw carbon material and fiber-reinforced polymer. This combination delivers ride experience that is both smooth and efficient. Utilising a performance formula resin, a high level of void minimization is accomplished while maintaining good strength characteristics. During construction, the front triangle (downtube, headtube, top tube, seat tube) is assembled and moulded as one continuous piece. This front half is then joined to the rear chainstays and seat stays in a secondary process. This procedure eliminates the outermost woven composite sheet used by many manufacturers, to reduce weight without affecting ride quality, strength or stiffness.

As the top of the line bike, it is not surprising, that the CoMax 1 is equipped with a list of quality components, from a sealed bearing headset, press fit bottom bracket, hydraulic disc brakes, bar ends, compact cranks, Shimano 105 22 speed gear set down to the tubeless wheels and tyre combination.
