The Shimano drivetrain delivers a total of 21 gears. Enough for riding flat, undulating and semi-hilly terrain.

Tyre choice is important here. Most flat bar road bikes (such as the Giant Cross City) use 32mm wide tyres. In this case, the Sportivo comes equipped with 38mm wide rubber. This is the perfect width if you’re riding on bike paths, trails where it can be unsealed surfaces, and generally rougher surfaces. It makes a big difference to the overall smoothness without adding heavy suspension.
