Fast, lightweight hybrids are called Flat Bar Road Bikes
These are by far our most popular hybrid bikes because they are the jack-of-all-trades. They are suitable for everything; riding bike paths, rail trails, general fitness and leisure riding with the family.
Our range consists of two brands; Giant and XDS bikes. Giant has the following sports hybrids to choose from:
XDS though represent amazing value for money and superb quality. They are one the largest brands at the OEM level to produce bikes (about 7 million every year). Their hybrid bike range consists of:
FLAT BAR ROAD BIKE
A flat bar road bike is still a hybrid but it’s one of the lightest, fastest hybrids that you can buy. These are hybrid bikes are great options for commuting and generally travelling long distances quickly.
The bike of choice here is the Giant Fast Road. These are available in 4 product models; 2 aluminium frames (called ALUXX SLR) and 2 carbon-fibre frame options (called Comax).
For riders who are upgrading, or just want the minimum performance option (or a really good deal) then check out the 2017 Giant Fastroad SLR 2. We still have stock of these and you save hundreds.
For those that want a more upright seating position, slightly wider tyres and don’t mind a slightly heavier bike then we also have the Giant Cross City bikes. These are available in 2 versions:
/ Giant Cross City 0 Disc 2018 RRP $1,199.00
/ Giant Cross City 1 Disc 2018 RRP $899.00
Giant has created a new breed of touring bike. These are light (made from their best aluminium called ALUXX SLR) and they are designed to cover serious kilometres in comfort. This new breed of touring bike is called the Giant Toughroad.
There are 2 types of Toughroad product lines to choose from; the standard Toughroad (which has flat handlebars) or, new for 2018, is the Toughroad SLR GX (which stands for Gravel Cross) that uses a ‘drop’ handlebar.
Got the GX option if you’re a road cyclist that wants an ‘off-road’ capable bike or you’ll be riding longer than 50km; the ability to change the position of your hands and be in a slightly more efficient riding position will ensure riding longer distances is enjoyable.
