The evolution of the Giant Roam continues into the 2018 range with the new Giant Roam 0 sitting proudly at the top of the range.

It offers exceptional ride quality and versatility and is equipped throughout with quality components. The Roam 0 build will suit the rider who tends to be a bit hard on their equipment, the consumer wanting affordable premium quality or for the rider that will use the bike frequently and values performance and longevity.

The Roam 0 uses the same frame and geometry as other Roam models, its practicality and versatility are evident in how well it rides and accommodates different terrain. Giant have designed it to be a toned down version of a mountain bike, ensuring it performs more efficiently on road than a mountain bike and yet still offers some off-road capability. The Roams versatile nature is what has made it so popular with many consumers, being easy to ride and control, comfortable, stable and a great go-anywhere-do-anything bike...to an extent. The Roam 0 is a capable machine for practically anywhere that you want to ride, such as rail trails, bike paths, city streets or country roads.

One of Giants hallmarks is producing a quality bicycle well beyond their price point. This is evident by the premium quality components accompanying the Giant Roam 0 frame. Such as the SR Suntour NCX-D front fork which uses a hydraulic damper, producing a plush, smooth and controlled suspension action. Compared with a basic elastomer damper the performance advantages are significant, especially in terms of durability. Another feature is suspension lockout, allowing the rider to turn off the suspension when not required, such as when climbing hills.

The drivetrain system on the Giant Roam 0 is built around the same concepts of affordable premium performance. Shimano SLX components feature heavily throughout the Roam 0 build. Deore has always been a performance groupset designed for mountain bikers, trekking and touring cyclists, SLX is an even higher level, giving smoother precise gear changing Shifting is done with precision and even under load, it remains smooth.

The wheels have sealed bearing hubs to prevent water and dirt contamination, are laced with stainless steel spokes to double wall rims for greater resistance to damage despite their lighter weight. In addition, the Giant Roam 0 comes equipped with Giant Cross Cut puncture resistant tyres which are smooth running, suitable for a range of riding conditions and are puncture resistant.
