The main Cannondale mountain bike is called the Trail.

And it’s a recreational mountain bike.

But unlike most recreational mountain bikes, the new Cannondale Trail is different.

You see, when Cannondale began working on the Trail they wanted amateur and recreational riders to experience stability and confidence. This sort of thinking was (and still is) only applied to high-end performance mountain bikes.

Not anymore.

The Cannondale Trail uses a slightly slacker head tube angle for better control at speed. This angle pushes the front wheel further out. Slowing the steering down. And thus delivering safer, more predictable steering - especially off road on unstable surfaces.

Cannondale have also made their new mountain bike shorter in the back end. This makes the Trail climb more efficiently (faster power transfer).

It’s also worth noting that Cannondale apply modern frame manufacturing techniques to deliver bike frames that are light and stiff.
