Giant Anthem

Close

The current generation Anthem is the most out-there design. It’s still a Cross-Country (XC) race bike - without doubt.

But it’s a lot more forgiving than what it used to be. Which also makes it easier and more enjoyable to ride.

First, Giant has increased rear wheel travel from 90mm to 100mm. Then each Anthem gets a 110mm suspension fork (instead of 100mm). Then they shaved 250 grams compared to the previous Anthem - that’s massive.

Then they’ve added a dropper post as standard to all Anthem models. Quite possibly, one of the best upgrades you can do and something we got asked to do for the old Anthem, all the time. Dropper posts are not just for technical trails. They give you more control and therefore keep you safe.

OK, you’re good.

It’s worth noting that unlike previous years, there are NO aluminium Anthems for MY22. They’re all carbon.

The range starts at the Anthem Advanced Pro 2 at $6,699.00. Key components of the Pro 2 build include Fox Performance suspension, Shimano SLX/Deore 12-speed gearing and Giant’s XCR 2 carbon wheels.

Then we move into the Anthem Advanced Pro 1 at $9,299.00. The extra $2,600.00 gets you Fox Live Valve electronic suspension, Shimano XT gearing, carbon bars and Giant’s better XCR 1 carbon wheel set.
