Phone Holders for Bicycles
Many riders are taking advantage of the cycling apps available (such as Strava) as well as staying in touch while riding. It’s nice to have your phone right where you can see it and be able to use it safely and conveniently.
There’s 2 parts to bike phone mounts:
First, you’ve got the case. The case can be universal or specific to your phone.
Second, there’s the actual bike handlebar mount.
There are several handlebar diameters (25.4mm, 31.8mm, 35mm etc.) to choose from. Most brands will have their phone holder clamps suit these diameters.
This means most of our phone holders will support recreational, road and mountain bikes.
Our current range of phone holders for bicycles are tested and proven. There are locations to mount your phone. Let’s have a look at some of the choices.
ON THE HANDLEBAR OR STEM
Placing the phone holder on the stem, keeps your phone centred on your bike’s handlebars. It looks neat and you can easily glance at your screen directly in-front of you.
QuadLock has the Outfront Mount V2 and Outfront Mount Pro. The Pro is longer to accommodate bigger phones. And it has a stainless steel mounting arm instead of plastic to minimise deflection.
Quad Locks’ basic Handlebar/Stem Mount can be mounted either on the handlebar or stem. If your stem is longenough (70mm+), mounting it here shouldn’t be a problem. The actual length of the Quad Lock mount is 50mm.
Another world-class brand is Topeak.
They Omni Ridecase phone holder that securely mounts to the handlebar or stem. It will fit phones 11.4cm to 16.5cm and like the other examples, you can use it in either Landscape or Portrait view.
Or, if you’re looking for a simple way to attach your phone to either your stem or your frame, the ULAC Spyder Team Pro mount is a robust option for recreational bike path riding.
Like Quad Lock, French brand Zefal requires you to purchase a compatible Zefal phone case and the mount.

Note: a lot of front bike lights now use a GoPro adapter. So if you decide to use a light, both the phone case and bike light can be mounted on top of each other (taking up much less space on the handlebar).
The cases are specific to the phone brand/model.
ON THE FRAME
You may prefer to mount your phone on the bike frame. This is also possible. We have been using frame bags with a waterproof top, where the mobile phone sits safely and is close at hand. Ivanhoe Cycles have some great offerings, here are a couple of examples:
