Kids 2 wheel scooters
There are a couple of types of two wheel scooters for kids.
The first type is designed for smooth pavement and streets. Not stunts or heavy, impact use. And it's got adjustable handlebars for growing kids.
An example is the Globber Flow 125 two wheel scooter.
Its 125mm diameter wheels are designed for stability and build confidence. The larger wheels also help smooth out bumps and travel longer distances more efficiently.
The rubber on these wheels is high-rebound. It means the rubber can quickly absorb chattery impacts and deliver a smooth ride feel.
Globber designed the Flow 125 with adjustable handlebars with a slight curve for better ergonomics. Bar height starts at 82cm then can be adjusted to 87cm, 92cm and 97cm.

Pro 2 wheel scooters
The second type of 2 wheel scooter is the kids Pro scooter.
Kids pro scooters are designed for riders who love to ride but they're also more daring; trying new stunts and jumping off kerbs.
These 2 wheel scooters have a few robust features that make them more durable.
- Most have non-adjustable, rigid handlebars for strength.
- Most also have metal rims on the wheels.
- Thicker, reinforced and ribbed decks for extra rigidity when landing tricks.
- Extra material around high-stress areas.

Examples of Pro 2 wheel scooters
The Grit Atom is an entry-level kids Pro scooter.
It can't be pushed as hard as the other kids Pro scooters but it's one of the rare scooters that have adjustable handlebars for growing riders.
Another example is Proline. These are extremely good value 2 wheel scooters.
The Proline L1 V2 Mini is an above-average kids Pro scooter. The Mini is designed for kids from 106cm to 125cm.
Next, the Proline L2 scooter has wider handlebars, a wider deck and aluminium rims. So it's a better option for kids about to hit a burst of growth.
The Proline L4 is the largest Pro scooter in the range and the most robust. It's designed for skateparks and sizing will suit older teenagers and adults.

Adult 2 wheel scooters
Adult 2-wheel scooters are human-powered kick scooters engineered specifically for adult use.
They consist of a deck, two inline wheels, handlebars, and a rear foot brake and are designed to be ridden standing up, with propulsion coming from kicking off the ground.
They’re not toys—modern adult scooters are built with strong, lightweight materials and feature larger wheels, adjustable handlebars, and often suspension systems to provide a smoother, more stable ride on city streets.
These scooters are ideal for:
- Commuting short-to-medium distances (e.g., to work, uni, or the train station)
- Recreational cruising along bike paths or waterfronts
- Last-kilometre transport (like from a car park to your office)
- An active lifestyle that’s low-impact on joints (less stress than running)
Unlike electric scooters, manual kick scooters don’t require charging, registration, or a license.
They’re extremely low-maintenance and eco-friendly, with the added bonus of some cardio exercise.
An example is the Globber ONE K 165 scooter.
