Fully assembled by qualified staff
Every bicycle sold or collected in-store is fully assembled from its box by qualified bike builders and thoroughly checked for safety.
First, our bikes are received and assembled by our qualified bike builders at our warehouse. The bike is then delivered to an Ivanhoe Cycles store by our big blue truck (you've probably seen it zipping around Melbourne!).
When it arrives, we give it a safety check, attach test-ride pedals, and it is placed on our showroom floor.
Multiple safety checks
Before you test-ride and purchase a bike, it is safety checked by our bike mechanics to ensure all components are installed correctly and working properly.
Then once more, before it leaves our store we will check and inflate the tyres, straighten and tighten the handlebars, and install your chosen accessories such as pedals, saddles, or kickstands (some installations may require a surcharge).
Delivered bikes require some assembly
For bikes sold online and delivered, your bike will come partially assembled and delivered in its box.
Depending on which bike you've ordered, some basic to advanced assembly will be required.
If you are not a Melbourne local, we recommend taking your bike to your local bike shop for professional assembly to ensure it is done correctly and safely.
