Rim Tape

Rim tape is a protective strip placed along the inner surface of a bicycle rim to cover the spoke holes and prevent the inner tube from puncturing.

It acts as a barrier between the tube and sharp edges of the rim. Rim tape is typically made of rubber, cloth, or plastic and comes in different widths to fit various rim sizes.

Tubeless rim tape has a strong adhesive on one side and covers the complete internal width of the rim. This ensures no air leak during installation. That's why you must make sure your tubeless rim tape is designed for the correct internal rim width.
