11 Speed Cassette Compatibility
An 11 speed cassette must be paired with an 11 speed chain, derailleur and shifter. Mixing speeds will result in poor shifting due to differences in sprocket spacing.
Most 11 speed road and MTB cassettes use a Shimano/SRAM HG-style freehub, though compatibility should always be confirmed before purchasing.

Choosing the Right Gear Range
11 speed cassettes are available in various tooth ranges depending on riding style.
- Closer ratios (e.g. 11–28T) are common on road bikes.
- Wider ranges (e.g. 11–42T) are often used on mountain bikes.
The right gear range depends on terrain, rider strength and drivetrain setup.
Freehub Compatibility
Most 11 speed cassettes use the HG (HyperGlide) freehub standard. However, if you have a SRAM 1x11 drivetrain and a wide range cassette, then your cassette uses the SRAM XD freehub.
Always confirm your hub compatibility before replacing or upgrading your cassette.
