U Locks

U-Locks (also called D-Locks or Shackle Locks) offer the best protection for your bike. Made of hardened steel, these locks are tough to break, making them the most suitable for medium to high-risk areas like a train station or public bike rack. To prevent thieves from being able to fit their tools around the lock, try and find a lock that leaves as little space between your bike frame and your mounting point as possible. Use your U-lock in conjunction with a cable lock for even more protection.
