The Compel helmet features an all-new design with improved fit to give cyclists of all ages and types of riding a reason to ride. Available in both youth and adult sizes.
Giant brings excellent quality and leading technology with their bicycle helmets. Let’s start with inside the helmet. Giant have added in TransTextura Plus (Giant patented technology) anti-microbial padding which basically draws sweat from the head to the outside - or, more specifically, to the in-built “AirFlow exhaust points.” The name of that is pretty self-explanatory but there you go.
Inside the helmet shell itself you’ll find “EPS” (Expandable PolyStyrene) which is Proven to be an excellent crush/impact absorber and very safe. This particular kind is low-density so it will absorb even more of the shock than other stiffer EPS helmets.
The last notable feature is Giant’s Cinch ONE system. This is a structure inside the helmet that cradles the back of the occipital bone (located at the rear base of the skull). From this structure, you can use a dial to adjust the tightness of the helmet so that you can get that optimum fit. This is important because there is no point in having a having a helmet that moves freely enough to be pushed off the helmet upon impact. The Cinch ONE system, ensures that the helmet stays securely in place to protect the head in the event of an impact.
