Shimano released the new CS-R8101 cassette alongside mechanical GRX and 105.
Technically, the current CS-R7100 and CS-R8100 aren't designed for mechanical shifting.
However, both the 105 CS-R7101 and Ultegra CS-R8101 cassettes are compatible with both Di2 and mechanical shift systems.
These cassettes use HyperGlide+ which has transformed off-road shifting with smooth, precise gear changes in both directions. Now, this technology is set to redefine road cycling.
Whether pushing hard on a climb or sprinting against a friend, riders can shift seamlessly under load.
