The 2016 Wilier GTR SL is a versatile endurance road bike designed to handle a wide range of riding conditions. It features a carbon fiber frame that combines 60/46-ton carbon for the SL model, offering a lightweight yet robust structure. The frame design includes full internal cable routing and a tapered head tube, enhancing both aesthetics and aerodynamics. The geometry is versatile, allowing for both upright and aggressive riding positions, making it suitable for long rides and various terrains. The bike is equipped with Shimano Ultegra components, providing reliable and precise shifting performance.
The build includes a Wilier monocoque-carbon fork, Shimano Ultegra brakes, and a drivetrain that includes an Ultegra crankset (50/34t) and an 11-speed cassette. The handlebars, stem, and seatpost are from FSA, while the wheelset consists of Vera Corsa DPM27 alloy wheels paired with Vittoria Zaffiro Slick tires. This setup ensures a responsive ride with good handling and comfort. The GTR SL also features a San Marco Aspide saddle and is designed to accommodate up to 28c tires for added versatility on different road surfaces.
