Keeping your bike clean is essential if you want it performing the best (and lasting a long time). Especially mountain bikes and electric bikes.

Below you'll see a range of bike chain cleaners (bike degreasers), the Muc-Off bike cleaner (it's really good), bike chain lubes (wet, dry, ceramic and e-bike) and cleaning tools like brushes. Or just buy the cleaning kits.

Bike chain cleaners (like the Muc-Off X-3 Dirty Chain Machine) run your chain through a series of brushes. Mix in some degreaser and your chain will come out like new.

These are responsible for stripping old grease or bike chain lube from the chain.

Use bike degreaser spray on the cassette, rear derailleur jockey wheels and chain rings for a full drivetrain clean.

Next, use a bike cleaner (like Muc-Off Nano Tech bike cleaner) to clean the frame, suspension, brakes - basically everything else on your bike. The Muc-Off's cleaner lifts the dirt off the surface. Rinse and your bike looks near new.

After it's clean:

Use a bike chain lube to lubricate your newly cleaned chain.

And if you've got suspension and a dropper seat post, it's worthwhile applying a low friction/protectant to repel dirt and mud.

Products like Muc-Off Bike Protection and Muc-Off Silky Suspension Serum are great at this. Bike Protect can be used on the frame too.

If you want to take things to the next level, E-bikers can use Ultra Corrosion Defence around the motor bolts and battery terminals to prevent rust and corrosion.
