The Amfow Carbon Pro (800Wh) is one of the most exciting long-range (and lightweight) electric mountain bikes in its category.
It's built around a high-capacity 800Wh battery and a lightweight carbon frame.
The trail-ready geometry of the Carbon Pro is for riders who want maximum range without compromising ride feel.
This page outlines everything currently known about the Amfow Carbon Pro (800Wh) eMTB. Including specifications, riding characteristics and who this build kit is best suited for.
- High-capacity 800Wh battery for extended adventure rides.
- Carbon fibre frame for reduced weight and improved handling.
- Mid-drive motor system powered by the DJI Avinox.
- Designed for riders who prioritise range, natural handling and a lightweight build.

Built for Long Distance
One of the standout features of the Amfow Carbon Pro is its 800Wh integrated battery, placing it firmly in the long-range eMTB category.
Why an 800Wh Battery Matters:
- Longer rides without range anxiety.
- Ideal for big Victorian trail networks and alpine terrain.
- Reduced need to carry spare batteries.
- Better performance in higher assist modes over long distances.
For riders tackling extended climbs, all-day adventures, or back-to-back trail laps.

Carbon Frame Design and Ride Feel
The Carbon Pro name suggests a full carbon construction, delivering:
- Improved power transfer.
- Reduced bike weight.
- Increased frame stiffness delivers better handling.
- Better handling through corners and technical trails.
Carbon frames are particularly beneficial on eMTBs. They help offset the weight of a larger battery while maintaining a responsive, agile ride feel.

DJI Avinox Motor System
The Amfow Carbon Pro (800Wh) comes equipped with the DJI Avinox (the drone company) mid-drive motor. A cutting-edge system designed to make every ride feel natural, responsive, and powerful.
The Avinox delivers strong, smooth power in a light, compact package (2.5kg approx.). So it's ideal for electric mountain bikes.

Smooth Power Delivery
Riders love the way the Avinox motor delivers assistance.
Instead of sudden bursts, the motor matches your pedalling effort smoothly. Giving you more control on climbs, corners and technical trails.
Many testers say it feels almost like the bike is an extension of your legs. Pedal and it responds instantly.
Plenty of Torque for Tough Climbs
With around 105 Nm of torque, the Avinox motor can handle steep fire roads and technical climbs with ease.
Whether you’re riding hard up a hill or powering through loose dirt, the motor gives consistent support without taking over.
Smart, Customisable Modes
The motor comes with many assist modes: Eco, Trail, Turbo, Boost and Auto.
Auto automatically adjusts power depending on your terrain. Boost mode instantly gets to 120Nm and 1,000 Watts of peak power.
This means you can conserve battery on long rides or unleash full power when you need it most.
Walk Mode features Auto Hold to prevent rollback on slopes. Plus, Hill Start Assist and stationary gear shifting for a smooth experience.
Both left and right controllers are wireless. This creates a cleaner cockpit and a lot less mess with electrical cables.

Quiet and Responsive
Riders also praise the motor for being quiet under light pedalling.
It emits a gentle hum on steep climbs. Even when riding fast downhill, the motor doesn’t distract you from the trail.
Only smooth, controlled support where you need it.
The 2-inch OLED touchscreen delivers real-time data and instant feedback. Using the Avinox app, you can locate your bike.

Who Is the Amfow Carbon Pro Best For?
This eMTB is likely best suited to:
- Trail and all-mountain riders.
- Riders seeking maximum battery range.
- Experienced cyclists transitioning to eMTBs.
- Heavier or stronger riders who demand consistent power output.
- Riders exploring large trail networks across Victoria.

The Carbon Pro Build
The Carbon Pro build ends up being 19.2kg with a frame weight of 2.27kg. Its theoretical max range is 157km.
Geometry on the Carbon Pro is thoroughly modern.
It has the perfect balance of high-speed stability and efficient climbing position.
The head-tube angle is 64.5-degrees. This helps the front stay calm over raw and technical terrain. The seat-tube angle is 77-degrees.

The steeper seat-tube angle places you in a better position for climbing. You're over the bottom bracket, in a better power position.
Paired with longer 445mm chain stays, the Carbon Pro remains stable at high-speed over rough trails.
Starting at the front:
Fox Factory Suspension
The Carbon Pro uses a 2026 Fox 36 Factory with a GRIP X2 damper and 160mm travel.

GRIP X2 is Fox’s most advanced Gravity and Enduro focused damper design. It delivers smooth, controlled suspension on harsh hits and fast descents.
The damper uses an enlarged 24mm base valve with 23-valve tuning for finer control of both compression and rebound. Helping deliver superb traction and confidence over rough trails.
Low internal pressure and precise pressure balancing help the damper react quickly to bumps (as fast as 5–10ms). This keeps the wheel planted and reduces rider fatigue on long rides.

The fork pairs to a Fox Float X2 Factory rear shock, delivering 150mm of rear wheel travel. And it features key adjustments such as air pressure, rebound (red dial) and Low-Speed Compression (blue dial).

The extra reservoir on the rear shock stops it from overheating. This means the shock doesn't feel harsh on extended, long descents.

All of these adjustments mean that you can control how the suspension feels in the first stages and last stages of movement. Firm, soft, supportive, fast and/or slow. There are numerous ways to tune the Carbon Pro's suspension.
Magura MT7 Pro Brakes
German brand Magura's MT7 Pro hydraulic disc brakes are a cut above.
They are specifically designed for mountain bikes and E-MTBs. They use a 4-piston brake caliper, which helps slow the bike down smoothly and with good control, even on steep or rough trails.

The one-piece caliper doesn't flex under hard braking. This transfers more braking force to the rotor. Magnetic brake pads are so much easier to install because they are held in place. Then they lock in brake pad pins for extra security.

The brake lever is designed for one-finger use and has tool-free reach adjustment. So riders can easily set it up to fit their hands.
The brake uses 4 small pads instead of one large pad. This helps manage heat and keeps braking performance consistent on long sections of descending.

Amflow HMC-30 Carbon Wheels
Amflow has also used their HMC-30 carbon wheelset.
These wheels use 29-inch carbon rims. Paired with a 30 mm internal rim width. They weigh 1,784 grams, approximately. Making them one of the lighter wheels for E-MTBs.
And are built to be tubeless ready, which helps improve traction and ride comfort on rough trails.

They use straight-pull Sapim E-Light spokes for strength with low weight too. The hubs use sealed cartridge bearings for smooth rolling and durability.
The front wheel uses a 15×110mm thru-axle, and the rear wheel uses a 148×12mm Boost thru-axle, which is standard for modern Trail and Enduro bikes.
Amflow's hub shells are beautifully designed. The front hub is enlarged towards the braking side to handle these braking forces.

And the rear hub is enlarged at the drive-side. Because on this side the hub has to hold the cassette, freehub and also accommodate the motor force.
The benefits are:
- Stronger wheel build.
- Better durability under motor power.
- Improved bearing support for longer service life.
- More even spoke tension, which helps keep the wheel true.
The rear hub also engages every 4.62-degrees with its 78-tooth ratchet. Most hubs engage well above this causing a 'delay' or pedal slop before the rear wheel moves forward.
Because the HMC-30 engages so fast, powering up slow, technical climbs is easier and accelerating out of corners.
SRAM XO Transmission
The Carbon Pro uses SRAM's latest XO Transmission electronic gears.

The SRAM X0 Transmission is a 12-speed electronic gear system designed for mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes. It uses a single front chainring with a wide-range rear cassette, which keeps the drivetrain simple and easy to use.

Gear changes are controlled electronically, helping the system shift smoothly and consistently, even when pedalling hard on climbs or riding rough trails.
Because there are no cables, shifting performance stays reliable over time with less need for adjustment.

The rear derailleur mounts directly to the frame, which improves alignment and helps handle the extra forces produced by an e-MTB motor.
Overall, the SRAM X0 Transmission is designed to deliver accurate shifting, consistent performance, and long-term durability in demanding trail conditions.

Lastly, the rear derailleur is wired directly to the Carbon Pro's integrated battery. This means you don't have constantly charge the battery. So there's 1 less thing you need to worry about.
