24" Apollo Cougar
The Apollo Cougar is a 24-inch youth mountain bike, ideal for riders aged approximately 9 to 12 years old. Its frame is constructed from butted 6061 aluminum, featuring a 50mm bi-oval down tube for enhanced durability and strength. The bike is equipped with a front suspension fork providing 40mm of travel, which helps to absorb shocks and ensure a smoother ride over uneven terrains.
For steering and control, the Cougar features a 560mm-wide low riser handlebar paired with Kraton grips, offering a comfortable and secure hold. The adjustable quill stem allows for customization of the handlebar height to suit the rider's preference.
The drivetrain consists of a 7-speed Shimano system, utilizing the TY-300 rear derailleur and Revoshift shifters for smooth and reliable gear changes. The alloy crankset comes with a 36T chainring and double chainguard, complemented by a Shimano 14-28T freewheel, providing a suitable gear range for various terrains.
Braking is handled by alloy linear-pull brakes, ensuring dependable stopping power. The wheels comprise 24-inch alloy rims with 32 spokes and are fitted with 24 x 1.95-inch tires, offering stability and traction on different surfaces. Additional features include a Selle Royal kids-specific saddle for enhanced comfort, a 27.2mm seatpost with a quick-release clamp for easy height adjustments, and an included kickstand for convenience.
The Apollo Cougar is available in two color options: Gloss Blue/Black/Silver and Matte Black/Silver/Orange. It is designed to accommodate riders with heights ranging from approximately 122 to 158 cm (4'0" to 5'2"), making it a versatile choice for growing youth seeking adventure on and off the pavement.
