A lightweight kids’ bike built for real adventures.

The Haro Beasley 24 is the perfect step-up bike for kids aged from 7 years.

It’s fast, light, and versatile. Built for school runs, weekend rides, and exploring the neighbourhood with confidence.

Some key features include:

  • Shimano 7-Speed twist-shift gears.
  • Lightweight aluminium frame and fork (most forks are heavier steel).
  • Low centre of gravity means better control of the bike.
  • Mechanical disc brakes have better speed control and safer stopping.

What is the Haro Beasley 24?

The Haro Beasley is a 24-inch kids bike. And it's designed to be a comfortable, lightweight and versatile street bike.

This means:

It's designed for suburban bike paths, rail trails and smooth dirt and gravel paths.

As long as kids aren't mountain biking with it, the Beasley 24 will suit a variety of paths making it versatile.

It's lightweight because:

Almost everything on the Beasley 24 is made from alloy, not steel.

It's one of the reasons why kids find it so much easier to ride compared to other kids bikes. Even the front fork is alloy. Most of the brands use steel.

And it's comfortable because:

The Beasley 24 has a really smart tyre choice.

Haro has used wider, smoother tyres instead of narrower, aggressive tyres. In Europe, these are called balloon tyres.

The advantage is they roll fast and they absorb impacts from the path. Acting like micro-suspension.

Who should consider the Beasley 24?

Kids who are at least 7 years old who can ride without training wheels.

And parents, take note that there is no foot-brake (or back-pedal brake) on the Beasley 24. It's called a freewheel.

The braking is done via the brake levers on the handlebar. The front brake is on the right, and the rear brake on the left.

Even though most kids will be used to using their feet, we've found they have no issue transitioning over to hand brakes.

In fact, it's more beneficial.

Hand brakes work better than foot brakes. And kids can make backward foot corrections without being hindered by a foot brake.

The Beasley 24 build

The image doesn’t really do the bike justice.

In reality, it’s one one of the cleanest looking kids bikes in our range. No untidy or excessive cables or components. Straight tubing lines use zero excess material. And make the frame lighter.

The Beasley’s low frame creates a low centre of gravity.

This means better control of the bike at high speed and easier handling. A must for kids transitioning from a smaller bike to a larger one.

To make the Beasley as light as possible, a lot of the components to build the bike are alloy.

This includes the frame fork, handlebar, stem, seat post, rims and crankset. It’s these components which really make a difference to reduce the weight of a bike.

The Haro Beasley has a simplified gear system.

A single gear on the front is paired to 7 gears on the back. The gears are controlled via a Shimano grip-shift mechanism. This is where kids grip and twist to change gears.

Disc brakes deliver better stopping power and control. They help kids slow down without effort or really jamming the brakes on.

They also need less maintenance.

On a caliper brake, when the rim gets buckled, the brakes gets affected.

And if its wet, the brakes don’t work as well. This is not the case with disc brakes.
