The Amflow PX Carbon exists for one compelling reason:

To give you everything that makes the flagship model exceptional. And without having to pay for a top-tier boutique build.

And in many ways, that makes it the more interesting bike for riders who want substance over flash.

At Ivanhoe Cycles, we stock the Amflow PX Carbon alongside other premium e-bikes because we see exactly what it offers riders:

Maximum performance per dollar spent.

The core platform is identical to the Pro where it counts. And the ride experience stays fundamentally unchanged.

Who should choose the Amflow PX Carbon?

This is the bike for riders who want cutting-edge motor tech, a lightweight full-power platform and maximum versatility.

But:

Do not need top-tier boutique components.

At Ivanhoe Cycles, our expert team helps match riders with the right e-bike every single day. And we frequently recommend this model for:

Experienced Riders

If you are transitioning from a non-electric mountain bike and want a full-power E-MTB that does not feel heavy or sluggish, this is a perfect entry point.

It provides the massive (controlled) power of the Avinox system. And maintain a natural, agile ride feel that experienced riders crave. It is built to handle the rigors of modern trail riding without compromise.

New Riders

The Avinox M2S motor delivers power in a controlled manner. It doesn't dump all the power at once. It's a gradual increase, making it easier to control how the power gets applied for new riders.

For new riders, we'd also suggest reducing the Torque and Power.

Motor Overun is another feature that can be adjusted.

For new riders, have a small amount of motor overrun is a good thing. It helps you hold momentum through technical sections of trail.

Riders on a Heavy E-MTB

Riders on an older and/or heavier E-MTB who now want something a lot lighter in weight and with smoother power delivery.

Plus, you may also want something that's easier to throw around on the trail and feels more playful and responsive.

Value

If you focus on value per dollar and care more about the ride experience than having top-tier parts out of the box, the standard PX Carbon is the ultimate choice. It trims what does not matter and keeps exactly what does.

Performance and Value

The Amflow PX Carbon strips away the premium component tax while keeping everything that actually matters on the trail.

You get the exact same foundation as the flagship version, which means the ride character you feel under your feet remains unchanged.

By retaining the Avinox motor and the expertly engineered carbon frame, you are not compromising on core capabilities.

Instead of paying extra for boutique finishing kit, you are investing in a platform that delivers 1,500W of peak power and 130Nm of torque. Or 150Nm in Boost mode for up to 60 seconds.

That is serious grunt.

Whether you are tackling steep technical climbs or enjoying fast, flowy descents, the Amflow PX Carbon provides a ride quality that rivals bikes costing thousands more.

It is the ultimate balance of high-end DNA and accessible pricing.

The Latest Avinox M2S

Strip away the bolt-on components, and the foundations of the Amflow PX Carbon is identical to its more expensive sibling.

The core platform is built around the Avinox M2S motor.

A drive unit that is rapidly setting new benchmarks in the E-MTB world. This M2S drive system is an absolute powerhouse.

It delivers sustained output that makes climbing feel effortless. But when you need extra punch, it provides 1,500W of peak power and 150Nm of torque in Boost mode.

Out of Boost mode, you still get 130Nm of torque and 1,300W of power.

This means you get controlled, cadence-driven power delivery that feels natural. Yet explosive when required. Paired with a high-capacity 700Wh battery, range anxiety becomes a thing of the past, allowing for massive days out on the mountain.

A lot of this is due to the 42-tooth grid type speed sensor.

This allows the motor to measure your speed at 42 points in the wheels rotation. It helps the new M2S motor manage power and torque safely during riding, particularly in challenging terrain. Allowing the motor to deliver the smoothest and most accurate assistance.

Whether you are navigating tight switchbacks or powering up loose, rocky fire roads, the traction and motor support are phenomenal. The 150Nm of torque means even the steepest gradients are ridden with ease, making the climbs as fun as the descents.

Premium Carbon Frame

The frame itself is crafted from premium grade carbon fiber.

Maintaining an impressively low overall weight while offering the stiffness and durability needed for high speed, raw and technical traills.

The geometry is exactly the same as the Pro model too. So the PX Carbon Pro's exceptional handling characteristics remain the same.

You still get that silent descending capability; free from the annoying motor rattle that plagues some other systems.

By sharing this identical DNA, the Amflow PX Carbon guarantees that the foundational ride quality, the balance, the traction, and the motor integration, is completely un-compromised.

PX Carbon vs. PX Carbon Pro componentry

While the frame and motor are identical, the price difference comes down entirely to parts.

Wheels

The most notable difference lies in the wheels.

The standard model uses a robust alloy wheelset rather than the carbon wheels found on the Pro.

The alloy hubs feature a 36-tooth ratchet driver, compared to the ultra-fast 60-tooth engagement on the premium build.

While the carbon wheels with the faster rear hub will help the PX Carbon Pro climb a little better on highly technical features. Alloy wheels offer excellent durability and a slightly more compliant, soft ride feel.

Some riders actually prefer this for a more forgiving ride through chunky rock gardens.

Gears

For shifting:

The SRAM S1000 AXS rear derailleur sits at the more accessible end of SRAM’s Eagle Transmission lineup.

It's a reliable option for mountain bikers who want smooth, wireless shifting.

It’s part of SRAM’s AXS system, which means there are no cables. Just a clean setup and simple gear changes with the push of a button.

This derailleur is made for 12-speed bikes and works with wide-range cassettes (up to 52T). Givingyou plenty of gears for climbing hills and riding trails. It’s also built tough, so it can handle rough riding and last a long time.

Overall, the S1000 AXS gives you reliable performance similar to higher-end models, but at a more affordable level. It’s a great way to upgrade to wireless shifting without spending top dollar.

On the trail, performance is impressively close to more expensive options. With smooth shifting, strong battery life and proven durability under heavy use.

The Pro uses the (almost) top-tier SRAM XO electronic drivetrain.

Suspension

The PX Carbon gets Fox Performance series rather than the top-end Fox Factory suspension.

You still get fantastic damping and adjustability. Though it lacks the Kashima coating and some of the hyper-fine tuning dials of the Factory tier. Dials such as Low and High-Speed Compression and Rebound.

Fox's Performance suspension has air pressure, rebound and compression.

Class-Leading Geometry

One of the most exciting aspects of the Amflow PX Carbon is its incredible adaptability.

Just like the Pro, you get a chassis that can be morphed to suit almost any riding style or terrain.

So Many Options

Few bikes at this price point offer this level of adjustability.

The frame boasts an astonishing 40 geometry configurations. Allowing you to fine-tune the bike's handling characteristics to an extreme degree.

The PX Carbon has:

  • 4 Head Tube Angle adjustments
  • 2 Bottom Bracket Height adjustments (345.5mm, 349.2mm)
  • 4 Chainstay Length adjustments (438mm, 442mm, 447mm, 450mm)

Tailor Your Ride

The ability to adjust the Chainstay Length changes the character of the PX Carbon.

You can run it short for a playful, snappy feel that loves to manual and pop off lips. Or lengthen it for high-speed stability and aggressive, planted cornering.

The Head Tube Angle tuning allows:

You to slacken the front end for steep, high-speed descents. Or steepen it for sharper, more responsive steering on flatter, tighter trails.

Lastly, you get 2 Bottom Bracket Heights to choose from:

At 345.5mm it lowers the PX Carbon, make it more stable at speed and corners easier. The higher bottom height makes the Amflow PX easier to jump and pedal through technical sections of trail.

This means the bike can transition from a mellow Trail bike to a calm, stable Enduro bike in minutes.

Mixed or 29 Wheel Size

Adding to this versatility is the frame's wheel size compatibility. You can run a full 29er setup for maximum rollover speed and grip. Or switch to a mullet configuration (29-inch front wheel, 27.5-inch rear wheel) for extra clearance and a more agile, flickable rear end.

This adjustability means that as your skills progress or your local trails change, your Amflow PX Carbon can evolve right alongside you.

PX Carbon or PX Carbon Pro?

This is the decision most riders will wrestle with when looking at the Amflow series. Both are incredible machines, but they cater to different buying philosophies.

When to choose the PX Carbon Pro

Choose the PX Carbon Pro if you want the absolute best possible build right out of the box.

If you value the immediate stiffness of carbon wheels, the hyper-adjustability of Fox Factory suspension, and the crispness of SRAM XO. And you have no desire to upgrade anything later, the Pro is your dream build.

It is a no-compromises, premium-everything superbike.

When to opt for the standard PX Carbon

Choose the standard PX Carbon if you want the exact same ride experience for significantly less money.

If you are happy upgrading parts over time, or if you want maximum value per dollar, this is the smarter buy. For many riders, saving the initial cash and investing it into riding trips, gear, or future custom upgrades makes the standard model the clear winner.
