Cycplus G1 GPS Computer

The Cycplus G1 is a simple GPS bike computer that shows your speed, distance and ride time on a 2in screen. It uses GPS to measure everything, so there are no wheel magnets or sensors to fit. Mount it, turn it on, and it is ready to ride.

A bike computer with nothing to set up

Many bike computers need an app, a phone, paired sensors and firmware updates before the first ride. The G1 needs none of that. It works on its own, straight out of the box.

That makes it a good first bike computer. It suits new riders, commuters, and anyone who wants their speed and distance without learning a new system. It is also light and quick to move between bikes.

What the G1 tracks

The G1 shows nine ride stats:

• Current speed
• Average speed
• Maximum speed
• Riding time
• Trip time
• Local time
• Trip distance
• Odometer (total distance)
• Altitude

Riding time counts only when you are moving. Trip time counts the whole outing, including stops. Having both lets you see how much of a ride was spent stopped at lights or cafés.

Battery, weather and weight

The battery lasts up to 20 hours, which covers a week of commuting or several long weekend rides. It charges via Micro-USB.

It is rated IPX6, so it handles rain and spray from the road. It is not designed to be submerged. At 56g it adds almost nothing to your bike.

What the G1 doesn't do

The G1 is a standalone computer. It has no Bluetooth or ANT+, so it does not connect to heart rate monitors, power meters, cadence sensors or your phone. It does not upload rides to Strava or any other app, and it has no maps or navigation.
