Delivery is available upon specific request for our special order bikes.
Bikes may only be shipped directly to a qualified bike mechanic or bike shop of your choosing, who must complete the assembly of the bike. We strictly cannot ship an unbuilt bike direct to consumer.
The buyer is responsible for all shipping and assembly costs, and is responsible for arranging assembly with their nominated bike store or mechanic.
To request a shipping quote, please submit a request and include the delivery postcode, business name of your nominated bike shop or bike mechanic, and the exact model & frame size of the bike.
Please note: All bikes sold by Ivanhoe Cycles must be assembled by a qualified mechanic or bike shop. Any assembly undertaken without professional assistance is at the customer's risk and any injury as a result of the build without professional assistance will not be covered by the warranty.

Every bike purchased or collected in-store at Ivanhoe Cycles is fully assembled by our qualified mechanics free of charge.
Bikes ordered online for shipping* will require partial assembly, including but not limited to: installing handlebar, seatpost, front wheel; adjusting gears and brakes; tuning suspension; installing accessories or bar tape.

If your special ordered item arrives faulty, damaged, or is differently than described, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement.
Cancellations and returns are not accepted on special orders if the consumer:
- changed their mind
- found the item cheaper elsewhere
- decided they didn't like the purchase or had no use for it
- ordered the wrong item

The Defy Advanced E+ road bike combines a smooth-riding composite frame with a lightweight battery and the new SyncDrive Move Plus integrated rear hub motor for an exceptional e-road experience. Designed for performance-focused riders, it helps you conquer steep climbs, maintain higher speeds, and enjoy longer rides with ease. With effortless power assistance and precise handling, it delivers a seamless, unrestricted road-riding experience, making every journey faster, smoother, and more exhilarating.
Key Performance Factors
SEAMLESS POWER
The SyncDrive Move Plus motor is integrated into the rear hub and delivers 30Nm of power (equivalent to 75Nm with a mid-drive motor) directly to the rear wheel. Weighing just 1.7kg, it’s specially tuned for the pedalling pattern of performance road riding, with minimal energy loss and more torque at higher speeds. The result is a natural feel when accelerating or maintaining steady power at speed, and no motor drag while freewheeling or coasting.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
The down tube integrated EnergyPak 400 battery system weighs just 2.3kg and is purpose-built for the specific needs of E-bikes. A top tube mounted RideControl Go button makes it quick and easy to turn the E-bike on or off and change power modes. Smart Assist technology uses three sensors to precisely measure the power being applied to the pedals and produce just the right amount of support for a smooth, natural ride experience. All models feature SRAM wireless electronic shifters and an integrated taillight.
PURE ROAD PERFORMANCE
A lightweight composite frameset and high-performance components including a D-Fuse seatpost and handlebars for compliance, integrated WheelSystems with tubeless tyres, and a wireless electronic drivetrain all add up to a smooth, efficient ride quality that mirrors the award-winning performance of the Defy endurance road bike range.
