Advanced-Grade Carbon Frame. Lightweight Efficiency Meets All-Day Comfort.

The Advanced carbon frame is the second-best level of carbon that Giant uses. And the Advanced SL-grade carbon fork is the lightest.

It's the most balanced Endurance road bike Giant has ever made.

The latest frame delivers an ideal balance of stiffness and flex. The changes result in an 11.2% improvement in stiffness-to-weight (or efficiency).

The new frame is much lighter than the previous generation Defy Advanced Pro. And maintains similar stiffness values.

Another key focus for the new Defy has been comfort.

Giant has designed flex zones into the frame. The rear seat stays flex like leaf springs, cutting road buzz.

The new D-Fuse SL carbon fibre seat post has up to 7mm of flex.

That's massive.

Effectively, the D-Fuse SL post reduces vibrations and impacts through the lower back.

Lastly, the Contact SL D-Fuse handlebar delivers comfort and better handling at the front of the bike.

Giant has designed the special D-shape to flex down 10% more than a circular handlebar. And it's 30% stiffer against upward flex for better control on climbs and descents.

SRAM Rival AXS. Wireless Electronic Shifting with Power Meter.

The full SRAM Rival AXS E1 12-speed groupset brings clean, precise wireless electronic shifting.

Rival AXS E1 is the latest updated Rival groupset.

Updated brake hoods and brakes levers makes your riding position more ergonomic. The brakes have redesigned pistons and levers, delivering more power and better speed control.

The cranks and derailleurs have also been updated. The physical shift speed hasn't changed but the feel has.

The updated design of the derailleurs and shift calibration, result in a more precise feel.

The Pro 1 build also has Quarq's power meter.

It's a left-side only power meter, that doubles the power measurement for total power. It runs off a AAA battery that lasts around 400 hours.

Firmware updates and zero-calibration (for the power meter) are done via the SRAM AXS app.

Giant SLR 1 40 Carbon WheelSystem. Aero Efficiency Meets Stability.

The Giant SLR 1 40 Carbon Disc wheels use a 40mm deep carbon rim that's laced to super low-friction hubs and weight around 1,440 grams.

Like the rest of the bike, the 40mm depth is extremely versatile.

They are deep enough to carry an aero benefit on flatter roads but don't weigh you down on climbs or become a handful in crosswinds.

With a responsive 40T ratchet driver, the rear hub minimises lag between pedal input and forward motion. Giving the Defy Pro 1 a sharp, connected ride feel.

Paired with Giant Gavia Fondo 0 700x32c tubeless tyres, the setup improves rolling efficiency, puncture protection, and comfort across varied road conditions.
