Geometry
The Rocky Mountain Solo Carbon 70 is a gravel bike designed for riders seeking a combination of efficiency, stability, and adaptability on varied terrain. It is suited to fast gravel rides, endurance events, and bikepacking adventures.
- Lightweight carbon frame and fork.
- SRAM Rival 1 12-speed gravel drivetrain.
- SRAM Rival hydraulic disc brakes.
- Tubeless-ready wheelset with wide tyre clearance.
- Mounting points for racks and fenders.
Carbon Frame and Geometry
The Solo Carbon 70 features a lightweight carbon frame engineered for a balance of responsiveness and comfort.
Its gravel-specific geometry offers stability on loose surfaces and precise handling at speed. Tire clearance is generous, allowing for wider setups that improve traction and comfort over rough terrain.
SRAM Rival 1
The Solo Carbon 70 is equipped with the SRAM Rival 1 wide range drivetrain, providing a broad gear range suitable for climbing steep grades and maintaining speed on flats.
The single front chainring simplifies shifting and reduces weight, making it ideal for varied gravel conditions.
SRAM Rival hydraulic disc brakes deliver reliable stopping power and modulation across different weather and terrain types. This braking system ensures confident control, especially on technical descents and variable surfaces.
Tubeless-Ready Wheels
The Solo Carbon 70 comes equipped with Easton EA70 AX tubeless-ready wheels, designed specifically for gravel riding.
These wheels offer a strong, lightweight build and increased durability to handle rough terrain. Tubeless compatibility allows riders to run lower tyre pressures, enhancing traction and comfort while reducing the risk of flats.
The wide rim (24mm internal) profile supports stable tyre seating and improved cornering performance on varied surfaces.
Practical Features for Versatility
Multiple mounting points for racks, fenders, and accessories make the Solo Carbon 70 suitable for a range of uses, from racing and training to loaded bikepacking. Its design accommodates riders who value both speed and utility.
