The Schwalbe Marathon Plus Wirebead is one of the most popular and durable tyres in Schwalbe’s lineup, known for its exceptional puncture resistance and long lifespan.
It’s an excellent choice for commuters, touring cyclists, and anyone seeking a reliable, worry-free tyre for daily riding.
It’s widely regarded as the “flat-less tyre” because of its incredible ability to prevent punctures, making it a favourite for long-distance rides or city commutes where reliability is key.
Equipped with Schwalbe's SmartGuard layer; a 5mm thick, highly elastic rubber layer that offers the highest level of puncture resistance. It even protects against sharp objects like glass or nails.
Wire Bead
The wire bead ensures a secure fit on the rim and enhances durability. It’s less flexible than folding bead tires but typically more affordable.
Durability
Designed for high mileage with a tough tread compound and reinforced sidewalls to handle heavy loads.
Reflective sidewalls improve visibility and safety during night time rides.
E-Bike Ready with it being rated for e-bikes up to 25 km/h. The exception being the 28x1.75 tyre size that is E-50 spec and suitable for speeds up to 50 km/h.
