Extra-Wide Platform for More Stability

The XT PD-M8240 uses a large 121mm x 110mm forged alloy platform to maximise contact area and improve confidence on the bike. Shimano’s dual-concave profile supports the foot naturally, helping keep your shoes centred for better stability and more consistent power delivery.

Unlike traditional flat pedals that can create pressure points around the axle, Shimano’s low-profile centre section reduces axle bulge, creating a more consistent shoe-to-pedal interface across the entire platform.

Maximum Grip When Trails Get Rough

Grip is critical when riding flat pedals, and Shimano has designed the XT to hold your feet securely in changing trail conditions.

Each pedal includes:

• 10 adjustable traction pins per side.
• 2 optional inner pin positions for personalised feel.
