Shimano Dura-Ace BB-R9100
The Shimano Dura-Ace BB-R9100 is a high-performance threaded bottom bracket designed for Shimano's Hollowtech II crank sets with 24mm spindles.
It is available in two versions to accommodate different frame threading standards:
- English Threaded (BSA): Designed for frames with a 68mm wide bottom bracket shell featuring English (BSA) threading.
- Italian Threaded: Designed for frames with a 70mm wide bottom bracket shell featuring Italian threading.
Bearing Design
Utilises smaller ball bearings positioned externally to enhance weight distribution and stability.
Seal Construction
Incorporates advanced seals that reduce friction by up to 75%, ensuring smoother rotation and improved performance.
Material and Weight
Constructed with aluminium cups, the English-threaded version weighs approximately 67 grams, while the Italian-threaded version is slightly heavier at around 69 grams.
