Strategically placed Grip-Pods, multi-facet Nano Knobs across the shoulder, and a chemically etched centre tread combine to deliver grip on demand while keeping rolling resistance low and momentum intact.

Which casing is right for you?

FASTR-X Standard

The workhorse of the range.

A durable 60 TPI casing on a steel bead. The natural choice for training, everyday laps, and riders who want proven FASTR-X tread at the sharpest price.

FASTR-X S-Spec

The lightweight race option.

Built on Tioga's ultra-light CYLEX 120 TPI casing with a folding bead, the S-Spec is feather-light and super supple, so it conforms to the track surface for smoother, faster runs. The lightest tyres in the range (the 20 x 1-1/8") comes in at just 225g.

FASTR-X Black Label

The premium race casing.

Black Label starts with the same CYLEX 120 TPI casing as S-Spec, then adds AvntGUARD, a bead-to-bead membrane for extra cut and abrasion protection without dulling the casing's suppleness.

A PneuMax internal coating lets it safely run high pressures up to 110 PSI for lower rolling resistance. Folding bead only, in three 20" sizes.

Technology

Grip-Pods (patent pending)

A pressure-sensitive traction system: sticky bristle knobs sit recessed within the tread, keeping the profile ultra-low for speed. As you load the tyre through corners and hard efforts, the Grip-Pods come alive and deliver traction on demand; with minimal disruption to forward momentum.

Chemical etching on the centre tread

A fine surface texture etched into the centre tread adds bite across a wider variety of track surfaces, so the fast-rolling centreline still finds grip.

Multi-facet Nano Knobs

Nano knobs in varying angles, shapes and sizes are integrated through the outer tread zones, adding traction on loose, fine-grain surfaces where you need to hold your line.

UTC rubber compound

Every FASTR-X uses Tioga's UTC rubber compound, tuned to balance grip and speed across changing track conditions.

What's the difference between Standard, S-Spec and Black Label?

Standard uses a durable 60 TPI casing on a steel bead and offers the most sizes, including 24". S-Spec is the lightweight race casing, CYLEX 120 TPI with a folding bead. Black Label is the S-Spec casing plus AvntGUARD cut protection and a PneuMax coating rated to 110 PSI, in a folding bead.

Can I mix a FASTR-X front and rear?

Yes. The FASTR-X is designed to work front and rear, and every tyre in Tioga's FASTR series is interchangeable, so you can pair it with a FASTR or FASTR REACT to fine-tune the balance of speed and control for your track.

Which size do I need?

Most BMX race bikes run 20" wheels; larger cruiser-class bikes run 24". Match the tyre size to your rim, and choose a narrower width for less rolling resistance or a wider width for more grip and volume. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll help you choose.
