About Cannondale Bikes

Cannondale is one of the most innovative and respected names in cycling. They are known for pushing the boundaries of frame design, materials and performance.

Since 1971, the brand has been at the forefront of bike technology. From pioneering aluminium frames to developing cutting-edge carbon and e-bike platforms.

Today, Cannondale offers a wide range of bikes designed for every type of rider. Whether you’re chasing speed on the road, exploring rugged trails, or commuting through the city.

Cannondale Road Bikes

Cannondale's road bikes consist of the SuperSix, SystemSix and Synapse.

Each Cannondale road bike is available in different frame materials (aluminium or carbon) and different build kits at several price points.

The Cannondale SuperSix Evo is the race bike. It's a lightweight all-rounder that has elements of aerodynamic design to reduce wind drag.

It's also one of the more stable and calm handling race bikes. So at high-speed it's extremely easy to ride.

Cannondale designed the SystemSix as a pure aerodynamic race bike. But the need for this bike has diminished, as the SuperSix EVO has become the best balance between aero, comfort and versatility.

The Cannondale Synapse is an ultra-comfort, super stable road bike. It also has the calmest handling out of all of them.

Cannondale Mountain Bikes

Cannondale mountain bikes can be separated into these 3 sections:

  • Cross-Country (XC)
  • Trail
  • Enduro

Cannondale's XC mountain bike range consists of the Scalpel and Scalpel HT (HT means hardtail).

These bikes are designed to be lightweight, super responsive, favour climbing and are able to hold speed easily over rolling terrain.

Trail bikes are by far the largest category. These bikes cover the broadest riding styles.

  • Habit LT (Long Travel)
  • Habit
  • Habit HT (Hardtail)
  • Trail SE

And lastly, the Enduro category consists of the Cannondale Jekyll.

It's the longest travel bike in the range with 170mm front and 165mm rear wheel travel.

Cannondale Gravel Bikes

Like the rest of the bikes, Cannondale produces 2 different gravel bikes.

The Cannondale SuperX is the racier gravel bike. It has a one-piece carbon frame making it lighter, stiffer and more responsive than the Topstone.

And the Cannondale Topstone and Topstone Alloy are built for stable handling and a slightly more relaxed riding position.

The Cannondale Topstone's carbon frame uses KingPin suspension with 30mm of movement in the rear of the frame.

The differences between the bikes are:

  • The head tube angle is slacker on the Topstone (70.7-degrees) than the SuperX (71-degrees). This means the front of the Topstone is a little calmer over unstable surfaces and corners.
  • There's a 7 to 8mm difference in bottom bracket height. The Topstone is lower, making the bike a touch more stable.

Cannondale Electric Bikes

At the time of writing this, Cannondale's focus is on E-MTBs.

The Cannondale Moterra SL is the lightest option.

The Moterra is the mid-weight option. And the Moterra LT is the Long Travel option with 170mm front and 165mm of rear wheel travel.
