Giant Cross City 3.
The Cross City 3 is where the range starts; it's the most affordable.
This model is designed for riders getting back into riding for fitness. It's ideal for those who are fair-weather riders; where the components won't be subjected to rugged conditions.
There's a bit of cross-over between years as well.
You'll notice we have the 2022 Cross City 3 and the 2025 Giant Cross 3 (there is no 2023 or 2024).
For the extra, riders get:
- Hydraulic disc brakes (compared to mechanical disc for 2022).
- A wider gear range that gives riders a high top speed.
- Better quality 8-speed components.
- More efficient gears. 2 front gears are paired to 8 rear gears(instead of 3 front gears for 2022).

Giant Cross City 2
The new 2025 Cross City 2 is the best we've ever seen from Giant.
It features an excellent selection of upper-end recreational components from Shimano's new CUES (Creating Unique ExperienceS) product range.
The 9-speed drivetrain shifts smoother than the Cross City 3's 8-speed version.
It also features Shimano's LinkGlide technology that was originally designed for e-bikes to improve component longevity.
Besides the gears, the other difference is the front fork.
Giant uses an aluminium alloy fork for the Cross City 2 and a slightly heavier steel fork for Cross City 3.
This results in lighter front end steering and overall a lighter bike.

Giant Cross City 1.
The Cross City 1 is the top-end model.
It has the following upgrades over the Cross City 2:
- Carbon fork instead of aluminium.
- Shimano 10-speed gearings instead of 9-speed.
