Silca Ulitimate Sealant Remover 473ml

Silca Ultimate Sealant Remover is a spray that removes latex tubeless sealant from bike frames, clothing, shoes, floors and the inside of tyres.

It is water-based and biodegradable. Silca's patented formula breaks down the bond between the latex and the surface it has stuck to, so the sealant wipes or brushes away instead of being scraped off.

For when a puncture sprays sealant everywhere

Tubeless sealant does its job by plugging holes, but a puncture can spray it across your frame, your legs and your kit. Once latex dries, it grips hard. Scraping it off risks scratching paint, and ordinary washing rarely shifts it from fabric.

Silca's remover is made for exactly this mess. It is safe on frame paint when used as directed.

Fresh sealant

Silca's remover works best on sealant that has been on the surface for less than two hours. The sooner you treat it, the easier it comes off.

On frames and other hard surfaces:

1. Test on a small, hidden spot first.

2. Wet the area with water.

3. Spray the remover on generously.

4. Wipe it off straight away with a clean, white cloth.

5. Wash the whole bike to remove any remaining remover. Don't leave it sitting on the bike. Repeat if needed.

Once the frame is clean and dry, a coat of Silca Graphene Spray Wax restores the protective layer and makes the next spill easier to wipe off.

Dried sealant

Dried latex takes a little longer.

Silca's method:

Soak a small cloth or paper towel with the remover and hold it against the dried sealant. Leave it for 5 to 10 minutes, then wipe away. Repeat on stubborn spots, then wash the area with water.

Clothing and fabric

1. Test on a hidden part of the garment first.

2. Spray the sealant generously and wait 3 minutes.

3. Work it gently with a stiff brush. An old toothbrush works well.

4. Repeat if needed, then wash as normal.

Inside your tyres
