Orbea Mountain Bikes

Close

Born in the Basque Region of Spain in 1930, Orbea is one of the oldest bike manufacturers in the world. All their performance mountain bikes are assembled and painted in Spain. They are quite unique in the way they do business. They punch above their weight with marketing power and branding, the level we’ve come to expect from larger brands like Giant. But you get a feeling of family. It’s not a massive corporation that you’re dealing with, there’s a human that rides and cares at the other end. All their bikes are beautifully made. And as a premium mountain bike brand, these bikes have to be on your shortlist. Yeah, we know it sounds biased coming from an Orbea Authorized Dealer but we’ve seen our share of brands over the last almost 40 years of business. Orbea’s a stayer. But enough of the background, we’ll tell you what each mountain is and what it does (keep scrolling below).

OCCAM

The Occam is Orbea’s short travel trail and do-everything bike. It’s perfect for riders who are riding trails that aren’t too demanding, are focused on efficiency and fast-response.

At 140mm of rear wheel travel and front fork travel, it’s also on the lighter end of the mountain bike weight spectrum.

THE OCCAM LT

The Occam LT is designed for trail riders who prefer something nimble and light. And that’s going to be comfortable on long endurance rides.

But - You also prefer something that has a little extra travel. You know, for those days where you seem to choose all the wrong lines (we’ve all been there) and you want the Occam LT to “mute” high speed chatter.

The Occam LT delivers 150mm of rear wheel travel and is paired to a 150mm travel fork.

And it’s available in both aluminium alloy (starts with a “H” for hydro) and carbon (starts with “M”).

THE RALLON

The Rallon is the Big Dog.

It’s not only the fastest bike in the range, it’s also super playful and fun. Quite possibly the most balanced Enduro bike money can buy. And we’d go as far as saying, it’s one of the few Enduro bikes that are perfect for Aussie trails.

Yep, it’s that good.

The new generation chassis is designed around 160mm of ear wheel travel, and it’s paired to a 170mm travel fork.

You name it, it has it.

Internal storage. Onboard multi-tools. Exceptional steering and handling. Superb traction. Asymmetric frame design that balances frame loading for enhanced stiffness-to-weight. Mixed wheel and full 29 setup.

To date, the Rallon is only available in carbon. No aluminium alloy models exist.
